Robert Don (RD)

Yes this photograph was photoshopped but by doing so i made the colors give my subject the god-like definition he needed to make this picture affective. After many tries i was finally able to get my model to relax and give me a picture i could be truly proud of; he did make me proud.

Adam and Eve (Rebecca and RD)

This was the first time RD had ever done a nude-esque photo-shoot and i must say he impressed me every step of the way. This picture depicts a moment between “Adam and Eve” where she was trying to trust him with their “nest.” RD proved himself a strong asset to this photo-shoot and really lends himself to this picture; i am simply proud of the chemistry both show towards one another.

The object she is looking at is a mirror and she held a very intriguing disposition making this pose very strong and physically demanding. If you look close enough you can see the muscles in her back hyper extending to conform to my idealistic picture.

DECA shirt design

DECA shirt design

This is the idea for the shirt design to be made/submitted to be made to give to the DECA students of 2008-2009. The design will fill most of the shirt and is in the process of being edited by my client.
The design may be flat, but is in fact a realistic design based on last years shirts.

Montage

OoOoOoOoOo FERRET!!!

OoOoOoOoOo FERRET!!!

Critique:

Who else would consider resurrecting their grandmother’s wedding dress for an amazing assignment? Of course Red would show the cute ferret Bennie!!! This montage combines the three things that matter most to myself, travel, tradition and curiosity by means of my two year old (almost three) ferret Bennie.

The hues of Green are perfectly matched to create a peaceful and dramatic setting for the wedding dress. The idea of a person-less dress intrigues my audience very clearly so. It may not be easy to tell, but Bennie is a ghost and there for elaborately designed to be placed as an item of intrigue.

Going into this assignment i was told that the most beautiful works created in this project only have 2-3 layers to it; the phrase, “Less is More” very adamantly came to mind while i was creating my masterpiece. Finally i have found my niche in photo shop; not people wise, but creatively. I finally understand what matching scenery with item means. I overall think this work was very well thought out and is visually pleasing.

The two things i would change are the blurriness at the edge of the photo and the lack of color range withing the picture itself.

it takes something like a flower or perfect scene to stop you in your tracks and just be happy you are alive. I'm alive so i should BE alive!

ooooooo PRETTY COLORS!!!
Critique:
I may not be a collage master, be able to blend color and texture or maybe even use a camera, but i can use my hands. What makes my art really work is the ability to use multiple levels of design. I am not really into the whole digital concept, just the ability to make what i see in my minds eye come to life by means of pastels, paint and creative concept.
My work is not great, in fact far from it. The human ego has been over time the greatest downfall; so for me to say that my work is perfect or even great would be to deny myself the absolute truth. I do believe my collageis good, and collects the proper concept for the project; there is so much more i could have done that i didn’t think of. In example i could have used more paint or even digitally enhanced the hues to make lesser seen objects more of a central focus. None-the-less the work is still visually pleasing.
The color scheme is well rounded and brings out the darker hues in the work, I’ve been calling my colage: “Breath.” It is an effective way to show the world that there is only now, the time we take to just get a coffee or even drive to school/ work takes away from our ability to appreciate our surroundings. How can one know what they are missing until they are too far into a black hole? You never know; tomorrow could be the last day i see.
Lines are an effective way to bring a point across, the right balance between sharp and curved draw intrigue from the audience. A pointed line is more exact and thus more likely to draw a conclusion faster than a rounded edge may. There is balance in color, texture and line. Nothing in the world is exact, for me to make it so on paper would be unjust to nature. My work was effective, one could easily draw a conclusion from it.

After a long day a simple smelling of the roses or watching of the sunset wipes away the rush and strain of work.

Critique:

Color, Light, DIFFERENT! I achieved what i was trying to portray. You don’t see handmade art work everyday anymore…everything for the most part is digital, i guess you could say a lot of art work lacks heart. My art on the other-hand does not.

I chose individuality over digital, i chose something creative due to the fact i would like to go into creative design. Part of that field requires the ability to self animate or self create, would i not be letting myself down if i did not create something from scratch that portrays me in one fell swoop?

As a person i am bouncy, the best way to make a good impression is to be sure i show myself in my work. In later posts there will be more substance as to what goes up and out to everyone, you will see me grow and i will welcome it openly.
